I think the thing behind Electronic Listening Music is that most people
when they think of electronic music, they think of techno.. Which is meant
to be danced to, and played at raves, clubs, etc... Where as, electronic
listening music, IDM, or what have you, is just meant to be listened
to. Not rocked to, or danced to .. but listened to, like you'd listen to
classical music or whatever you listen to.
This leads into the explanation of the AI compilation cover art with the
guy sitting back in his chair, and the text that says to listen to it
while being comfortable, etc. etc.
The 'listening' is put in there to destroy the assumption that this music
is techno, I believe.
