hi folks,
i was recently reading through my email on another list when i
came across the topic of "best album covers". i know we've had some recent
conversations awhile ago about liner notes, lack of general content, etc
on album designs; but what's really piqueing my interest right now is who
out there do you think has produced some incredible digital artwork (or
non-digital if applicable) for any kind of album cover?
a couple of no-brainers come up with FSOL's Lifeforms and Dead
Cities artwork. And Jarre's Oxygene LP has a nice design (in my opinion,
in fact its hanging on my wall, because i'm poor and can't afford proper
framed art) as well.
i'm just curious, because as a sort of digital artist myself (i do
whats refered to as "ascii" or "ANSI" art heh), i'm into that kind of
thing.
and as always, if you find this too off topic, feel free to ignore
it. i have the feeling there are probably a lot of you out there who would
enjoy this topic though.
