Until about 1990 or so, the only tatoos I saw were on sailors, bikers,
felons, and trailer park hotties.
I grew up associating tatoos with blurry anchors covered with liver spots.
Not an appetizing image, but one I expect will become all too common 30 or
40 years from now. 'Hey Grandpa, how come you got a flaming skull with
syringes stabbing the eyeholes on yer arm?'
I feel so, so, lucky that I didn't tatoo anything on myself when I was
18. I shudder to think what it might have been! Having a permanent
record of your #1 obsession when you were 18 in 99% of cases will be
the occasion of massive regret.
Oh, and if you're going to get an IDM tatoo you should get one done of
a Max Patch:
