contrary to what you'd expect the latest version of lame isn't recommended
for quality, lame's development has been fairly static of late and a lot of
the newer releases have just been tinkerings.. tinkerings that haven't been
tested and may make bigger files, or worser quality files than the proven
older compiles.. stick with the version described below and you will be
safer with your files..
--alt-preset standard
or
--alt-preset fast standard
(if you are in a hurry, but it will make bigger files possibly lower quality
tho in theory it shouldn't be)
