ja the lead melody of this track is testament to the truth that musicality does not depend on adherence to a tone-scale as all civilized forms of music tend to suggest. the melody makes steps up an arbitrary scale that sounds detuned and beautiful, then slides listlessly down back to the beginning of the melody... it is more of this "noise *is* music stuff" we've seen before, but mastered. the track, in its starkness, bored and intimidated me at first (just as all stark music music--pole, funkstorung, etc.--have), but it has definitely been the track i go back to the most on the disc in the long run. surprise, suprise... .af. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
