i've listened to this track (Autechre EP7 track_09) a million times and it still blows my mind. it has to be the most advanced piece of music ever composed (exaggerating for the purpose of emphasis).
i was really curious as to why they chose to title it 'zeiss contarex' so i researched it a bit and discovered that "Carl Zeiss introduced the first surgical microscope in 1953, marking the beginning of practical microsurgery. Today, Carl Zeiss remains the leader in microsurgical technology.."
There is also a line of cameras known as the Zeiss Ikon Contarex.....
