I've found, quite to the contrary, that Bisk's debut strikes the same gold that Autechre haven't quite been able to relocate since _Amber_. I still have trouble hearing _Tri Repetae_ as much more than a collection of long, somewhat monotonous loops. The delicate tension and brooding personality of Bisk's _Time_ suggests what Autechre could have evolved given two years to polish the genius of _Amber_. Miles
