I dunno about that... the closest thing I can think of off hand would be
more along the lines of David Tudor's _Neural Synthesis_ series. Rabe is
minimal godhead similar to Rafael Toral's longer pieces, Charlemagne
Palestine's electronic work, or Jliat (long live the DX-7!). Did the
Whitney's threat of sponsoring an Amacher installation during their music
series (the one at the museum, not the one at the Knit) actually come to
fruition?
