i think you're right. i just checked "satellite serenade" against the cd single on AO and there is a wonderful little bit of percussion that zips between the speakers on the original. on the compilation, it isn't there, and the sound is definitely flatter... i also checked the killing joke mix and although the original isn't as noticeably stereo, it definitely has more presence than the compilation. dammit. i'm gonna fire off an email to deviant and see what's up with this. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jon Drukman jsd@cyborganic.com -------------------------------------------------------------------------
