I presume that by "4 on the floor" you mean a bass drum on every beat of a 4/4 track. After reading your message, I listened to 'Artificial Intelligence II,' and you know what? Only two of the 14 tracks had a "4 on the floor." I contend that AI2 is is the closest thing we're going to get to a representative 'idm' compilation this year. Since you base your conclusion that drum & bass and jungle are more "intelligent" than idm on the assertion that "most" idm sticks to 4 on the floor rhythm tracks, would it be too much to ask for some evidence to support that assertion?
