Great, great, great. Just the thing I was looking for. Techno being made
with non-electronic instruments..

This was the first time I went to Mazzo. There were only about 100 people.
Which was just enough because the Mazzo is /very/ small. Autechre started a bit
dull, but after the third piece they did they got the crowd moving. That was when
they used sortof distorted sounds and got wicked! I was amazed, because normally
people like either the cleancut Orb-alike sounds or the BOEM-BOEM-BOEM-BOEM-thingies
to dance onto, but this crowd digged the more experimental stuff. Amazing.
Afterwards I talked to Sean Booth from Autechre to get some good tips on making
music. When I explained to him what I wanted to do he mentioned "Hannant".
Coincidence or not? ;-) He is a big fan of Hannant; Hannant has done
remixes on the triple 10" Autechre-box that is out now.

I know a lot more 'rock'bands that are definitely not boring (to me anyway).
My Bloody Valentine for example. I'm sure a lot of idm'ers would dig their
"Loveless"album, or the amazing "Glider" (on "Glider"EP).
