Hello, I just got Data Life by M-Tec on Pitchcadet, which is really rather good. I'm now looking forward to getting Slip Wish+ a lot. (How does it compare anyone?) While I was looking I saw a copy of Ohm by Valence, also on Pitchcadet. Can anybody tell me what it's like? I have heard that Music For Trans-Neptunian Space by the same artist is very good although any description has slipped my mind. Thanks! Ross. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I can't speak for Data Life, but I just got Slip WIsh+ the other day and I've really been digging it. When the description says that it's very Artificial Intelligence, the writer wasn't kidding. Reminds me of a lot of Plaid, with less funk at times. Lush analog pads are pretty much the theme. THere's a bit of updated rhythm programming, but enjoyable to listen to. I do however wish there was a little more innovation in the music. np. On an unrelated note: Have you seen the picture of M-tec on the Pitchcadet web site? His arms are the size of most electronic musicians' waists. Oh no, have I started a "my idm artist can beat up yours" thread? :) Where are the Henry Rollins of the emusic world?
