actually, the line is "im the fucking daddy" and it comes comes from mid 70's british movie called "SCUM", set in a boys remand centre (daddy being the title of the prevalent hardcase in the remand centre).. if i remember correctly the full exchange goes a bit like this.. (recently admitted hardcase) "WHERES YER FUCKING TOOL?" (daddy) "WHAT FUCKING TOOL?) (hardcase) "THIS FUCKING TOOL!" (proceeds to pulp guys cranium) with a poolball in a sock) while screaming "I'M THE FUCKING DADDY NOW!" I think it's just tom being a bit of boast as one of the tracks he performs live features the old "I'm the one and only dominator" from human resource quite a bit.. jus' thought i'd letcha know

Ahh, it's actually a bit of slang that is being tossed around by the rephlex krew these days. Usage: "DMX Krew live is the fucking daddy." or "Those shoes are the daddy, man." Now you know - don't wear it out :) Next subject:

The promo of the track (and presumably live renditions which people have heard are the same track) includes the "Dominator" sample, but WARP couldn't get sample clearance from R&S (I don't know whether it was a flat refusal or an astronomical fee) so the sample was dropped from the commercial release. Although I haven't heard the "Dominator" track, it looks a lot to me like the "I'm the fucking Daddy" sample replaces the "I'm the one and only Dominator" sample - anyone confirm?
