You aren't the only one. When I dumped my 70-80 crates on vinyl in the mid-late 80s, it was like an emotional divorce : a big decision from which it's awful hard to turn back. I really didn't plan on amassing thousands of CDs...it just kinda happened. I always try to get whatever I want on CD, but much of what I really "need" can only be obtained on vinyl - so, as a result I have about 3-400 pieces of it around again. My sound card drivers keep dropping out arbitrarily, so PC listening isn't an option for me. Call me crazy and give me a lecture on purity, but I also prefer CD for a number of reasons - among them is the fact that they are easier to store, play, access and they don't often warp or display audible evidence of scratches. Mail order and web-shopping *is* the way to go for good prices AND selection as well.
