I buy CDs all the time - I will *not* buy vinyl unless it's the only way I
can get the music (ie, if I can't find it on MP3, or if I'm collecting...).
CD is more convenient in every way that matters to me.
But I don't want to get into the CD vs vinyl argument - I'm responding to
the "$17 CD" statement - who buys $17 CDs? most CDs I buy these days are
12-15, something like that. Shipping jacks up the price a bit, as I always
mail order, but... Planet Mu CDs are that expensive, but others usually
aren't.
And thanks to MP3s, I buy far fewer CDs I don't like, and far more that I
do.
