welcome to a post wherein no one will be snidely derided. how boring. LA's nesh exceeded underwhelming expectations tremendously. really, i expected a good time, not a (bugles resound) fucking great time. good crowd, mellow vibe, ideal dancing conditions (even if it was a little hot). no one's mentioned dntel's set yet really, so i will go ahead and say that it was only /alright/ as his sets go, but miles ahead of most idm shows as far as emotion goes. less sleak and smooth more heart and swoon! i must also agree with the seemingly unanimous endorsement of jamie lidell and his fantastic mic fuckery. talk about a show. prefuse was cool but the set had a bit of a 'push play' vibe. luke vibert, what i saw of his set anyway was pretty mellow. and dj ease played a bit of a disappointing set... when i saw him at the first coachella he played mostly dub music and he smoked the fattest spliff you've ever seen and it was CORRECT. too bad mark bell played a dj set. richard devine is not really my thing... impressive sound design unimpressive soul design (you know?) worst part of the evening was that omar from native instruments was an asshole. fuck you omar. gregory, human ape form __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
