well, i love em all, but I think the sound you're
looking for comes more from the very first full
length, Semtex (not to be confused with the Semtex
single, although that is probably TEF's finest
moment)... much more mbvish (overloaded guitars) with
the occasional dnb beat, but more tracks than not
feature gentle toms or no drums at all... also might
look into the In Version record, since that's
remixes/redos of songs by amp, crescent, fsa, and
other Bristolians who developed their own lo-fi
version of the MBV aesthetic... to be honest, I would
say that ghost is pretty singular in its gritty
fuckedupness in the TEF catalog... nothing else is
quite that far in there in quite that way, so you
might want to check out you guys kill me too.
