Addressing the drug issue> i sincerely sympathise with your friends, suicide is not a pleasent thing. But adults should be responsible and should know their limits dont you think. i get high as shit on drugs but i know my limits( ok, ill admit it, ive been very close to od'ing but at least i learned from bad episodes, and if i can learn, i guess other ppl can try too, but...) my point is, i think ppl are generally smart enough to know the consequences, a base jumper jumps off of a building and he knows the risks are real. with junkies its the same. Its a shame when someone gets hurt but i am not at war against drugs. they should be respected and enjoyed by all regards, teardropb icq 55962348 irc #reaktor DALnet _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I wish I could agree with you on this one. My friend who is cracked out on cocaine told me 3 years ago, when I asked him how much was enough, that he would never get into drugs like heroine, cocaine, opium, etc. I hurt for him as I watch him slowly decay away because of his incesent need to get a fix. I would like to think that ppl are adult enough to know their limits, but we aren't even adult enough to erase racism from our existence to begin with. I should clarify that I am not an activist, but that I support any cause that is out to save lives. I am extremely grateful that I managed to get out of the whole scene of using drugs, it surprises me that someone like yourself doesn't see the precautionary measures necessary when you have come so close to overdosing yourself. Let me guess, you look at it as you got lucky, what if you didn't pull through, then what? Consider it bad luck? on 5/8/01 10:28 PM, teardropb . at boygothic@hotmail.com wrote:

I've been doing drugs successfully for well over ten years without a single hitch. I don't consider myself "lucky", I consider myself to be a man that tried certain drugs, decided I liked them, and applied lessons learned through other avenues of life to my drug use. I guess I would refer to myself as a "responsible drug user" I resent the fact that because some people can't handle their drugs or have no self-control, something I enjoy doing will probably remain illegal for the rest of my life. It sucks that some people don't know when to stop. I suspect that this comes from ignorance about drugs due to lack of real education on them. Pro drug war types propose a military response to the drug problem. Most people that are against the current drug policy, propose education and treatment for people who get fucked up on drugs. Seems like most of the people I know that are for the legalization of certain drugs, support the latter. --- Peter Schrock <pachinko74@mac.com> wrote:
