Once I was standing on my friends bed with a video camera preparing to film a scene, when suddenly a quiet moment from "Orbvs Terrarvm" came wafting in through the nearby bathroom door. I clearly recognized the sounds and began to go on working, enjoying the unexpected musical accompaniment. Yet the more I thought about it, the less sense it made. Why would this non-idmish listening friend borrow my Orb cd without mentioning it to me, and further, why play it in the bathroom? Doesn't it have enough reverb already? began <SNIP> One, in the Herbalizer's "The Real Killer" there's a sample that says "Matt...whatcha gonna do??......./..I don't wanna die....." Now, my name happens to BE Matt. A friend of mine and I were sitting up at work in a TV Post studio I did 3D animation for about a year ago, and our brains were infected with a potent form of green around at the time. I think we had both actually forgotten about anything outside of the computers we were playing on (after hours...late at night), and we happened to be in seperate parts of the room as well. When the song got to that sample, we both thought the other was speaking, and upon hearing "I don't wanna die" became so confused, it was not until hearing the song a few days later that it all made sense to us...sometimes it's better to keep on LISTENING rather than running your mouth as soon as you become confused.
