To date, all the Drexciya releases have been vinyl only (we're talking Submerge here ;) ), but I would expect possible CD versions of the upcoming Warp and/or R&S releases. Releases so far are Deep Sea Dweller (EP) - Drexciya (Shockwave) Bubble Metropolis (EP) - Drexciya (UR) Drexciya 3 (EP) - Drexciya (Rephlex) Drexciya 4: The Unknown Aquazone (2X EP) - Drexciya (Shockwave) new one on Warp (haven't seen it yet) I think these are all still in print. Someone needs to get on the ball and compile some tracks from these on a CD [all right all you label reps lurking on the list -- this is a message to you ;) ] On Now: "Sorcery" - Giannelli ----------------------------------------------------------------- dave walker marmoset@msen.com new frontiers in pleasure management Dave Walker

From Melody Maker's "Orbit" column (Jan. 14, 1995): Singles reviewed by Ben Turner Single of the Week: Drexcia 5 - The Journey Home EP (Warp) ---------------------------------------------------------- Having gave Kelli Hand the freedom to stomp, Warp gave the UR-associated team a free hand to continue their stunning, aquatic Drexcia series. This is existential techno, so experimental you'll sniff vodka to every fourth beat, blasting your mind into an abyss of self-destruction. "Black Sea" is intricate and melodic, "Darthouven Fish Men" continues the '95 stomp, while "Hydro Theory" is a moody swim through the Detroit underworld. There's also an interesting, semi-controversial interview with the Drexcia boys which I'll type in when I have the chance... Enjoy! - Matthew

Actually, don't. I winced when I read this; that Drexciya guy is _not_ a happy bunny. Re-printing of the interview is going to expand into one massive flamewar :-( || [CiM] || u9323899@sys.uea.ac.uk || http://www.sys.uea.ac.uk/~u9323899/

Well I'll probably send the interview to the list real soon, because people would like to read it after all. But be warned, some pretty out-of-line, inflammatory comments are made - most of them directed at a certain list member with the initials R.H., although I'm sure he's read the thing already... :) - Matthew
