Nehoo!
I like the format, if for no other reason than it puts video in the same category of music in other ways, too. Certainly both are better than magnetic tape, for both clarity and easy of use (and not worrying about wearing out the tape after repeated use), but they also put that technology much more in the hands of consumers, instead of mostly manufacturers. Sure, you can buy blank cassettes and video tapes, but the technology for recording on to them is rather clumsy. In the digital realm, you can do things like, oh, edit! Not to mention the reduced quality of recording your own tapes compared to recording your own music/video. Not to mention that you can keep it all in a few small binders, zipped up :) -- eggytoast.com - eggtastic.com ------ catchy signature coming soon --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
