Iain M Banks is also excellent, he's mates with MacLeod and
they have quite similar styles. Not as much politics in there
though, altough Banks shares his Socialist Libertarian view...
Also check out his fiction (as Iain Banks) Wasp Factory and
The Crow Road especially...
