I take it seriously about half of the time. There's a lot of IDM out there now, and a chunk of artists that fall into the genre don't seem to put their hearts into it -- they're just 'makin' tracks'. For me, I take it serious when the artist shows that they have some sort of heart in their music. Granted, many times it's a subjective difference that's based on my own opinion, but I think I've been able to do a pretty good job. I'm not out to separate the artists, mind, simply separate the glut from the great in my head. On the other hand, I take the music seriously, but I hardly ever take the people seriously :D derek ------- eggytoast.com ------- fresh like pie --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
