Agreed. There are many more options available to the average "laptop musician," let alone "desktop musician." With more possible variations, there's more chance of making something crappy, but that's the "risk." Of course, I won't go into all the bad 80's music that was made with electronic instruments (or maybe, "unstruments") and no computers. yeesh. Radio stations with 80's flashback weekends creep me out. So there's always been shitty music.
