For better or for worse, most shows are booked at places where the live entertainment is only a part of the venue's social function. If it bothers everybody so much, bring along a bunch of fliers which say "Talking is not permitted. Latecomers will be seated between acts at the discretion of management". For the most part, I prefer it that way. Let's face it- live shows are not consistently entertaining enough to stand on their own merits if you go frequently enough. You'll note that the band members are always the among those chatting at the back of the bar during the other people's sets (and not because they're being rude or don't like the music). -rob --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
