I sometimes use Traktor for live performances when I'm not feeling up to using my looper. It works fairly well for it, though a few little things annoy me about it. The one thing I really wish it had a PFL so I could check the mix in my headphones first since my soundcards are slightly off from each other latency-wise and I often bring the track into the mix and it's a little off. This would also be really helpful in the situation where you don't have any decent monitors (which happens a lot when people think they're booking a live PA that is just going to press play on a sequencer)... I have one live set up that I did with Traktor, but it ran into the problem of no monitors, so the mixing was really sloppy for a while until I got used to just trying to listen to the low mids and mix off that: http://www.atomly.com/music/atomly_-_live_in_nyc_20010804.mp3 -- :: atomly :: atomly@atomly.com | atomly@my2way.com http://www.atomly.com/ | 877.741.3571 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
