Which did you see the cd or the 2x12"?
The cd contains a lot of unique downtempo techno and
experimental electronica. It may be somewhat of a
challenging listen at first to the warp/skam/rephlex
crowd but after a few listens you'll begin to hear
that it actually takes the sound from the above
labels a little further towards the experimental
side. A few artists you may recognize on this
comp are plan 9 (steve pickton & mark broom),
ravers over venice (akin from irdial), td5 (voiteck
anderson), low res, mr hazeltine (john tejada), and
a lustmord remix too (i forget who he remixed).
The 2x12" contains four of the tracks on the cd as
well as four new very dancefloor-friendly tracks
by low res, mannequin lung, r.e.a.l.m., and lucid
lung (john tejada & the PR guys). All four of the
new tracks incorporate highly innovative percussion
and funky synth loops into unique techno masterpieces
that really take my breath away. if you like somewhat
minimal techno in the mark broom, john tejada, or even
mike ink then you would like this doublepack.
As i've said before, you really need both verions
of the comp to get all the best tracks.
