so i picked up the Spacepimp ep last night, and it's pretty much as
James described it - first side is bleepy dirty digifunk (which borders
on wanky, but i think what makes it great is that it never gets that
bad :), second side is jedi knights-style electro and strange jungle
bizness. very nice, very entertaining.
also picked up "leave home", the new chemical brothers single - *very*
nice. the original is well-known to those with the dustbrothers NME
mixtape, slammin' hiphop style, the underworld remixes *rock* - must
give it up to emerson and hyde for this one, and the sabres mix is
slightly abrasive, but good. There's a bside on the first 12" called
'Let Me In Mate' which is *wicked* and a must for all fans - amazing
dirty bassline in this one. check it out.
