I got really into the Dead Inside, Pure and This is How it Feels by Golden
Paliminos this year. Incredible snapshot of NY at the time - appropriately
overwrought but is usually compelling, funky and menacing.
Two disappointments for me this year was Thomas Fehlmann's output (a solo
record plus a collab with Terence Dixon) and Three/Three by Dabrye. Former
just didn't have the depth of his older work plus some bad riffs and the
latter was hurt by having half the MCs be REALLY bad (not the first time
for him). Hopefully we get a Three/Three instrumental edition.
