Huh? Ok, Ok, not to be too picky or obnoxious, but first of all you did not see Laswell onstage (if he was anywhere he was mixing, but that wasn't too aparent anyhow). The guy onstage was Andy Hawkins, who plays guitar for the macho jock dub/metal band Blind Idiot God. The "project" at the Limelight show was known as Azonic. Second, you claim he was playing a bass?!?, well I can understand confusing Laswell, for someone else, but christ he had two guitars. One a doubleneck Gibson, the other was an Ibanez (7 string, I believe.) Definately not a bass in sight, unfortunately. Because it surely needed something to spice up the otherwise dullingly self indulgent open string with reverb and delay going through four full stacks and a rack of proccessing gear the size of an inexpensive loft performance. Ugh, sorry, I don't want to slight the author of the post, he appears to have enjoyed himself, I wish I could have said the same, but bad metal intros dragging on for 40 minutes generally depresses me.

Hopefully a live performance, and not a DJing set. Cheers, gooey
