You obviously don't know what you're talking about and have no sense of FE's history (like before they even carried your treasured IDM labels). I'd like you to name some great US underground acts which FE refused to carry. Many people probably don't know this, but FE has actually been manufacturing all Schematic and Chocolate Industries releases for the past couple of years. One thing I can tell you is that they refuse to carry CD-Rs and they tend to only carry releases which come in pressings of at least 1000 (either that or 500, I can't remember), so maybe that's what you're referring to in your statement regarding the US underground electronic scene. They expect a certain level of professionalism from the labels they deal with. If you wanna burn 100 CD-Rs of your music with Xeroxed art work you can probably "distribute" those yourself. FE does adhere to a general sort of aesthetic in that they basically only carry music of a "non-commercial", "experimental" and obscure nature and their stock does reflect Jimmy's preferences to an extent, but if you're aware of another distributor which carries a more diverse and vast selection of releases please let me know. I think you'd actually have a much harder time finding all your obscure IDM releases (and at decent prices) in the US had FE not existed. Places like PJ's s://kimo and Other Music get at least 90% of their electronic music stock from FE. And, no, I don't work for FE.
