I heard something about this on NPR... so if anyone can verify/add
to/correct anything, please do so.
But I believe there is some pending bill in the US that if successful will
allow companies/people who own the copyright to a name to sue and take over
any domain name named after it/them.
It's also designed to prevent people from purchasing "whatever.com" with the
intent of reselling the domain to "whatever" at an inflated price to make a
profit.
So if you, Mr. Capitalist, do not unload your domain quickly enough,
Autechre may only have to wait a few months and sue for it.
Assuming, as you pointed out, they care enough to do so.
