RE>Muslimgauze i've been spreading the muslimgauze gospel on IDM but i have to say i think he's making a big mistake by releasing so much music. it's just becoming tedious. his latest "emak bakia" is not very good compared to some of his earlier stuff. it's definitely more on the techno edge though. but that doesn't make it better. my two faves are Zul'm and United States Of Islam. Considering what is being discussed on this list, I think it's safe to say that a good number of you would really enjoy some of their albums, especially Vote Hezbollah and Zul'm. I have hardly seen any print (internet or otherwise) on them so I just thought I'd see if there were any other listeners out there. If anyone is intereted I could post some reviews. Briefly, I guess you could describe them as techno meets traditional Middle Eastern percussion/instumentation.

I'm also a fan of Muslimgauze, although I'd consider them more ethnic percussion than techno. (Ah, love those labels!). I haven't heard the latest one, however. Veiled Sisters was a change for him, and I think it works well, nut it is hard to listen to actively. It lives well in the background. Zul'm is good, and I like Intifaxa a lot also. Jesse

I've also heard that _Vote Hezbollah_ is a toe-tapper as well. MG and Zoviet France are easily the two most unknown groups I'd like to get to know.
