RE>Muslimgauze
i've been spreading the muslimgauze gospel on IDM but i have to say i think he's
making a big mistake by releasing so much music. it's just becoming tedious.
his latest "emak bakia" is not very good compared to some of his earlier stuff.
it's definitely more on the techno edge though. but that doesn't make it
better.
my two faves are Zul'm and United States Of Islam. Veiled Sisters is good but
hard to listen to actively as it's so slow.

Well, I'm not too sure how IDM related this is, but does anyone
out there listen to Muslimgauze? Considering what is being discussed on
this list, I think it's safe to say that a good number of you would
really enjoy some of their albums, especially Vote Hezbollah and Zul'm.
I have hardly seen any print (internet or otherwise) on them so I just
thought I'd see if there were any other listeners out there. If anyone is
intereted I could post some reviews. Briefly, I guess you could describe
them as techno meets traditional Middle Eastern percussion/instumentation.
