I've got something called MP_Spinner from about a year ago, which is great, nice sound and size of a CD walkman - but does NOT display track titles, just numbers, which is very frustrating if you have over 100 tracks burned to CD-R and no clue what's playing! I've also seen (not bought or heard in action) something by Freecom, which looks very zooty with transparent blue plastic finish and plays the small size CD-R's. To my mind it's dinky and cute, but being smaller, holds less data and the discs cost more. Good luck I * --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I own a Rio Volt player, and I'm very happy with it. It is virually skip-free, also when playing audio cds, it reads wma and mp3, and support playlists and all sorts of program modes. Although, if you're ready to spend the money, you should consider buying one of those 10gb portable harddisk/mp3-players. Then you get a portable usb-disc and an mp3-player in one unit, and you'll probably never carry around 10gb worth of mp3 cds anyway. Stefan Bim Ricketson wrote:

I agree Stefan, its a great product, but I wish I had bought a better unit than the most basic one ( the blue one, i forgot the model #), not having backlit LCD sucks big time, now I have a question, the Rio manual says something about how VBR mp3s can cause problems with it, have you had any issues with this? cause man, I cant do without my VBR mp3s =) On Tue, 12 Mar 2002, Stefan Mylleager wrote:
