Songs on the Placekick EP are too short. Aren't there like seven songs totalling like 20 minutes? Same by the way goes for CiM. Jake's Parallel Processes (on Worm Interface)is his best in his IDM mode. Quondam Current isn't IDM at all, but more loopy deep trance and to me is repetative and boring.

He was working under their special <21-ish minute format due to the "ball" graphic. I think his short placekick EP tracks work very well as sketchy abstractions, sort of in the same way (albiet a little less extreme) as the Gescom MD. (The jury is still out on CiM for me, since I just started listening to his material last weekend)

I agree - I picked this one up and didn't care for it at all. It didn't really tickle my affinity for IDM or minimal techno, managing to land somewhere in the middle just short of interesting.
