He was working under their special <21-ish minute format due to the "ball" graphic. I think his short placekick EP tracks work very well as sketchy abstractions, sort of in the same way (albiet a little less extreme) as the Gescom MD. (The jury is still out on CiM for me, since I just started listening to his material last weekend)

I agree - I picked this one up and didn't care for it at all. It didn't really tickle my affinity for IDM or minimal techno, managing to land somewhere in the middle just short of interesting.
