Gescom is like 16 people, Autechre is two. Sean and Rob from Ae are part
of Gescom but they aren't neccessarily involved with everything Gescom
does. I think since the Gescom Enterprises tag was all over Ae's first
album, the idea got out that Gescom was just them.
Apart from a few exceptions (I think Snackwitch is one of them) you
probably wouldn't guess it had anything to do with Autechre as much of
Gescom's output has more of a comical appeal to it. Ged from Skam told me
about a show that they played at a church in Manchester a few years ago:
the whole crew wore lab coats, bandages over their heads and played random
tracks from mini-discs of 2 second snippets of Top 40 hits for like 45
minutes.
I think the whole crew is just out to have fun and since Ged and Andy are
part of the collective, they get to put their records out on Skam.
