hmmm. . .i'm imagining that what really got him about WATMM is the way the
drums comingle with the bass, very sexy. it's certainly not difficult
programming, but it definitely works in the right way.
as a budding producer meself, i'm kinda at a loss as to what to recommend to
your friend. if he finds the drum programming on WATMM "incredible," then i
really can't think of much that i KNOW will rock him. older beaumont
hannant might work for him (speaking of, where the hell is any newer
beaumont hannant???), older atom heart material like "milagro" (sort of on
the proto-tech-house tip, excellent swingy programming). . .
