I actually don't understand what the big deal about Jacob's Optical Stairway is. Sounds very bland to me in terms of rhythmic, timbral, and sample choices, i.e. on all counts in my book. I must be missing something. If you haven't heard it already, run out and buy the Plug album now - I'd say it's one of the few "must-have" releases in the IDM genre. Classic shit. GD

i agree, IMHO JOS was boring i ordered the PLug today from my local record ripoff store(i dont have to buy it though) is the 2cd priced as 2cds or should it be the price of one disc(ie the second is a "bonus" like Autechre-Tri Repetae Orbital-In Sides etc)... the damn thing was listed at 17.99$..im kinda tight for cash...if this is too much, ill get it next time im in nyc... thanks andy np:u-ziq Salsa and MEsquite (after a long haitus) On Tue, 7 Oct 1997, GD wrote:

if yer paying more than $17.99 for the 2xcd nothing set, yer getting ripped off. i've seen it at best buy and circuit city for $13.99. And my eyes were filled with tears of joy. surprised no one has had any terse words considering my trent/sqrpshr/autechre revelation. g.
