Right. The Nathan Fake I know is miles away from MBV, apart perhaps from 'The Sky was Pink', which betrays vague Shieldsisms in its digitised slightly overdriven chord sustains. The rest I've heard sounds like a variant of tech-house to me, be it ever so slightly off- kilter. Dunno if 'Outhouse' is on the album, but that 12" track was a very BoC-sounding warbly synth 'riff' taken for a sort of 'knowing' bangin' techno outing. Entertaining, but more 'dance' in it than er... 'intelligence'.
