stunning album! I've been into that a lot and looking forward to the
upcoming UK Belong tour.
In a somewhat similar fashion, what are people making of the Nathan Fake
album? I picked that up cos it was described as a more poppy MBV. I've
only listened through it a few times, but it has nowhere near the same
emotional response as, say, listening to the Belong album. I mean its
okay, i would probably have loved it if it wasnt for all the really
hyped up reviews. Some context: i havent heard any of the remix 12"s
which i believe he made his name doing.
Oh, not quite IDM, would prob be better posted to the ambient list if i
was still subscribed, but i cannot tear myself away from the new Taylor
Deupree album "Stil.", its fscking excellent! Theres not much to
describe of it, its total classic microsound style, but theres just an
elusive something about it that makes it stand head and shoulders above
a lot of the other similar output. I've been trying to listen to the new
Kranky Greg Kowalski cd also, but again, keep coming back to Taylor
Deupree instead. ( i know you all know i mean the label Kranky and the
artist Greg Kowalski, but rereading my email before i send it, i just
thought wow, thats an excellent artists name "Kranky Greg Kowlaski"!)
