The model number escapes me at the moment but Sony makes a great pair of
earbuds for around $40 that are not themselves noise cancelling, but have
the effect of really silencing anything around you even at a very moderate
volume. It's also pretty difficult to hear them from more than a couple feet
away, and they're white (kind of like the iPod headphones, but better).
