That's one of the big things I've always looked for in a decent pair of
headphones; only time I really use them is with portable devices where
"loud" isnt loud enough <g>.
I had a pair of Sennheisers, and although they were awesome quality, I
could hardly hear anything unless it was plugged into an amplifier or
such.
Still trying to look for the perfect pair of headphones that are ideal
for portable devices - reasonably small/non-geeky looking, sound
reasonably loud'ish, and the sound reproduction is both clear and with
some decent bass. I've never found a pair that seems to do all this -
I remember using some wierd brand ages ago that sounded awesome, but
they were almost bigger then my face. :-(
