Did anybody else find "The Heartfelt" to be a good
listen? I, unfortunately, didn't. They tried to
replicate the neo-Kraftwerk sound popularized by
Komputer, Mikron 64, MAT-101, Bochum Welt, Kraftwelt,
etc., but it just fell flat. I'm all about deadpan
vocals (read: "Warm Leatherette") but there is a
difference between deadpan and an irritatingly flat,
wavering, pseudo-Cockney that clashes with the
melodies. The descriptions and reviews made me
excited, but it leaves much to be desired in terms of
production, lyrics, and general sound. However, in the
same order, I got "Supermogadon", "Life is Full of
Possibilities", "Cosmic Forces of Mu", and the Tango
N' Vectif re-issue, which, of course, are all ace.
