A friend of mine, Chris Clepper, did the video work (live) for Tortoise's tour. Not sure if he did Takemura's set as well, I'll have to ask him. He uses the Max/MSP video tool called NATO and does a fine job. Caught the last show in Chicago. Very chill, very nice. BTW, if you're interested, check out his site at http://www.bar-net.com/. Chris and others do some pretty nasty glitch stuff as BAR. Good down-home speaker cookin'. Yum! Chris also told me that Autechre's tools should be no secret. Nord and Max/MSP. And he emphasized Max/MSP. He basically said they use the Nord for the ambient swishy stuff and then have some percussion convolution/algorhythmic drum machine patch in Max. Not to oversimplify or anything..making good patches on either system is hard work. _________________________ Christopher Sorg Multimedia Artist/Teacher http://csorg.cjb.net csorg@enteract.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
