I believe Takemura plays live from Max/MSP for his show (and maybe
even his albums) from what I could tell at the Portland show, he recreated
everything from the bottom up, meaning that he may have had
samples/sequences running in Max that he used on an album, but mainly
reconstructed/rewrote the songs as he played. Very cool if you ask me.
Anyway, most of the stuff he played sounded similar to his last two albums
on Thrill Jockey. I believe that the video was also live and
made/manipulated/modulated in Max, similarly in real-time. Yo! krs
