doh, modulation. i knew that ... modulation means that the frequencies are
being multiplied against eachother ... my point was it is a harder synth
to understand than say a VCO->VCF->VCA style subtractive synth. Wait.
Subtraction is math too. Shit.
i think the reasong DX7's get whacked on so much is because 1) there's
tons of 'em out there and 2) they aren't as in vogue as analogue synths so
they're cheaper to replace
it's still lame to smash any instrument besides maybe a french horn
though.
