speaking of pop/idm/commercialism:
it's been mentioned before, correctly i think, that orbital are one of the
few "mainstream" electronic acts that have maintained somewhat of an idm
sensibility, whatever that means. any thoughts on this? does anyone
consider orbital to be idm? whenever their name comes up, it's like you
can hear an electronic pin drop. i for one consider, and will probably
always consider, the brown album to be _the_ classic of electronic
listening music, so well-constructed are those tunes. i'll take that any
day over your typical (wait for it...) dsp fuckery.
and thanks for not thrashing the newbie. considering the recent bitchiness
around here i was expecting some kind of violent backlash.
