Who came up with this magical notion that "come to daddy" was some sort
of "poke" at The Prodigy?? is it just because there's actual continuous
"singing" (hyper-distorted of course..) with faux guitar??? Seems
there's a bit more effort, program and production wise, put into this
song to simply dismiss it as a "joke." and to produce a video to go
along with it does require some sort of budget. wouldn't it be
EXTREMELY unwise to invest this much time and money in something that
isn't supposed to be taken seriously? considering the fact that r.
james does own and run a business, why would he "waste" rephlex's money
simply to make fun of another group?? (considering the fact that he
seems to bust his ass "managing" rephlex records...) what would be the
point anyway?? yeah, he portrays an image of being, um, a bit "loopy,"
but never acted as if he had to "prove" anything. (as in, why should he
really care what The Prodigy is doing??? or anyone else for that
matter...) Did he personally tell an almighty super-elite IDM
subscriber that this was his "plan??" i really fucking doubt it. It's
a damn catchy song, with above average drum programming (the drums and
sorts during the "break" in the song are quite impressive..), one of the
most realistic guitar patches i've ever heard, and lyrics that might be
repetitive, but don't contain any "self-mockings" about his own voice,
samples of his mom/mum, or incredible nonsense. so if this is the
Intelligent Dance Music list, where's the intelligence? do you have to
take a test or something?? (my I.Q. is about 118. is that high enough
to post?) Could change the name to ADM (arrogant dance music) for those
who love to rip into "newbies" or anyone who doesn't own three
turntables and a "i'm a D.J, worship me." bumper sticker...
